The multidisciplinary team focuses on children with speech, voice, and hearing disorders. It specializes in selecting pediatric candidates for cochlear implantation, provides comprehensive care for these patients, and conducts long-term rehabilitation for cochlear implant users. The Phoniatric Department and Cochlear Implant Rehabilitation Center provide the following care for their patients:

Phoniatric care: Diagnosis and therapy of communication disorders, provision of hearing aids including custom ear molds, recommendations for compensatory devices.

Speech therapy: Rehabilitation of all communication disorders, special educational counseling.

Psychological care: Diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychagogy, counseling.

Social care: Counseling regarding social benefits and other entitlements.

Programming of cochlear implant speech processors: Individual adjustment of speech processors, enabling auditory perception for children with cochlear implants.
