Information for Patients

Our department cares for pediatric patients only up to the age of 19.

For our current adult patients (primarily hearing aid users), we recommend booking an appointment at another audiology center based on their place of residence. Upon request, we can provide a copy of the medical documentation. For more information, please call 224 432 691.

Comprehensive audiological, speech therapy, and psychological care for our current patients with cochlear implants and BAHA hearing aids remains fully available even after reaching the age of 19.

Procedure for booking appointments for audiology outpatient clinic:

The Audiology Clinic and the outpatient part of the Cochlear Implant Center are part of the Department of Otolaryngology at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and the Motol University Hospital. The primary role of the clinic is to care for hearing-impaired children, from diagnosing hearing disorders and compensating with hearing aids to cochlear implantation, including the subsequent care of hearing aid and cochlear implant users.

For new patients (except those with suspected hearing impairments in children under 3 years of age), a referral and prior examination by an ENT doctor or audiologist from the patient's place of residence are required.

Appointments are only made by phone at 22443 2691 on weekdays, preferably between 8:00-9:00 and between 13:00-14:00.

Questions can be sent by email: detska.foniatrie@fnmotol.cz.

For patients attending a follow-up examination with the audiologist (Dr. Aksenovová):

Upon arrival at the 3rd floor, patients must print a queue number and report to the reception.

For cochlear implant patients:

In urgent cases outside of office hours (weekends, holidays, etc.), patients can seek help at tel. 22443 2633.
